Located on more than 200 forested acres in the center of beautiful Bowen Island. Camp Bow-Isle is the perfect place for your group to come together both physically and mentally.
Let the twenty-minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay take you away from the bustle of your daily routine to an outdoor experience you'll never forget. Available for rent from September until June, our facility accommodates groups large or small. Amenities include:
- Big A Lodge - A dining hall and multi-purpose building complete with a large kitchen and cozy fireplace room. The kitchen has all the pots, pans, plates, cups, and cuttlery you'll need. At the entrance to this building is a 1,400-square-foot three-level deck which doubles as an amphitheater for smaller groups.
- Platform Tents - Five tents with plywood floots and walls and tarpaulin roofs. Each tent sleeps 10 people in bunk beds and adjacent to it is a traditional camp biffy. Additional sleeping space in the Big A can always be arranged.
- Wash House - Located next to the Big A, the washhouse holds four showers, six sinks and two toilets.
- Little A, Quiet House and Tweaks - These additional buildings provide additional space for two to six people each. They are very campy, but not quite as rustic as the tents.
- Ropes Course - This challenging course was constructed by Project Adventure and is acknowledged as one of the best in Western Canada. Facilitation is provided by our staff or through Pacific Adventure Learning. Use of the course requires an additional fee. Restrictions apply.
- Lake - Fed by a clear stream of water from Mt.Gardner, the lake is a natural focal point of many activities including swimming and canoeing.
- Field - Adjacent to the lake, the playing field is a perfect place for soccer, football, frisbee, tag games, and learning activities.
